Lucknow-based Edtech platform Edunify helps parents choose schools for their children online
Lucknow-based Edtech startup Edunify is helping parents to choose suitable schools for their children, for free.
Founded in 2018 by Harsh Karamchandani, Mohammad Yousuf, and Haroon Beg, the online education portal connects parents to the online profiles of registered schools. This poses a variety of options from which a parent can comfortably choose.
“Every month more than three lakh parents come to our platform for their children from across the country. We have listed information of about 1.2 lakh schools on our website. Parents then put in their enquiries or apply for admission. We connect these parents to our partner schools in the cities we are operating in, depending upon which school fits their children the best,” says Karamchandani.
Through the ‘match-making’ Uniform platform, parents can post enquiries regarding schools and their respective admission procedures. Details about class curriculums, board of education, budget, residential facilities, etc. can be found out with the help of the Edtech startup’s admission counseling team.
Schools affiliated to Edunify can conduct admission tests, interviews and form-filling online on the portal itself. They can also accept fees through Edunify if they want. “It is up to the schools to choose if they want the end-to-end process or just parts of it. We partner with schools so we have different models on the basis of which we charge schools. The revenue comes in from there,” adds Karamchandani.
The online education portal has facilitated admissions worth 4.5 crores during the lockdown with schools deciding to go full-on digital.
