Try these best learning methods & achieve desired results

“Learning is an experience while everything is mere information”.

Ask any student what is their biggest wish, and the answer would be a super-power to learn faster and remember better. This shows how learning has been and will always be an essential part of a student’s life and curriculum. However, not every student is the same, their thinking patterns, learning habits, and speed to grasp knowledge varies. Therefore, owing to these differences, there are a lot of ways devised by scholars to make the learning process easy and fast. As an effective learning method, students read specific exam preparation blogs. Although that is not the only option. Hence, in this article, we will be talking about how you can make your learning experience the best part of your life.

Methods to learn fast

The internet is flooded with several learning techniques on how can a student can learn effectively. Hence, here is a compiled list of the top 5 techniques which a student can incorporate in their learning for faster results. Please remember, these methods can be emphasized and the learning process can be made more comprehensive by reading exam preparation blogs, RSS-Feeds, and other official exam resources.

Rewarding while Learning

We all love rewards and gifts as a mode of appreciation for the work we do. It is always seen that if a task comes with a reward it generates double the amount of enthusiasm than a task devoid of rewards. So, you see you can incorporate this in your learning process. Rewarding yourself post the completion of jobs not only engages you with the task at the same time it also fills your mind with a lot of motivation. Motivation is an important element for the completion of any task and I don’t think I need to explain what a motivated mind can do.

Self-Practice

The first key to successful learning is rewarding while learning but the major key that drives this learning process is extensive self-practice. There is a very famous saying, “Practice makes a man perfect” and this is completely true. The more you practice and revise the concept the more you engage yourself in the learning activity. Hence, it is my advice that everyone should engage in self-practicing. For example, students take up current affairs weekly PDFs or Daily Mails to keep themselves on toes for their competitive exam preparations.

Don your Sherlock hat

We are often annoyed by the questions from kids, but do you know questioning is the first step to effective learning. Cross questioning and researching are very important methods while trying to learn. This is because when you question something you tend to search a lot of sources to get a satisfying answer. In this whole searching process, your mind is actively engaged making that particular concept leaving a permanent mark on your memory.

Concept First

You know the whole game is spoiled when the students come up with mugging instead of learning. There is a very fine line between learning and mugging and many of us fail to understand this. In my opinion, it is a better option to rely on first understanding the concept of the topic and then start with the learning. This not only helps in memorizing things easily but also helps in retaining the things for a longer period of time.

Pomodoro Technique

This is my personal favourite technique while learning since it is like you are squashing your targets in a certain time limit. So, in the Pomodoro Technique, the student is asked to work in a restrictive time limit, the steps go like this:

  • At first, you note down the tasks which have to be completed by the end of the day.
  • Post that, you set up the timer to 25 minutes, and it is very important to complete the task within the time frame of 25 minutes. You cannot seek time extension in this technique
  • Once your task is completed you put a checkmark on the paper for the task
  • You can go for a 3 4 minutes break if you wish to freshen up your mind,
  • Resume the work and restart the 2nd work with the same steps.
  • Once completing 4 5 tasks you are allowed to take a long duration break of up to 15 – 20 minutes.
Consider Group Study

Group study with friends is always considered a waste of time by the parents. However, according to a latest research group study is a very effective way of learning and retaining the information for a longer period of time. A strong reason for this is while studying together the students get to discuss things with their friends. In fact, a lot of students do cross-questioning, this helps in clearing the concept and remembering the information for a longer period.

Feynman Technique

Feynman Technique is often referred to as the most effective and fastest method of learning. In fact, Richard Feynman, the scientist behind this fantastic technique was a great illustrator and explainer in himself. Now, coming to the technique, refer to the given steps for complete knowledge:

  • Choose a topic that is very easy for you to grasp, this is the most important step as the rest of the technique will be dependent on it.
  • Use simple language to explain that concept to anybody, your friends, family members, and even if you don’t stand in front of a mirror and explain it to yourself.

This technique not only improves your retaining capabilities but also strengthen your verbal communication.

So, you see learning can also be a fun experience if you apply some simple rules and techniques. Learning is a never-ending experience and is not limited to only students. each one of us irrespective of our ages is learning something now and then, so why not delete boredom and add fun to it. I hope I was able to clear some of your learning blues with this article.
